Frequently Asked Questions
Working With Olive & Company
-
How did you choose the name Olive & Company?
After much brainstorming and debate, Olive co-founders Rob Haskin and Tom Keekley found inspiration from an unusual, and furry, source: Rob’s dog. Over a decade later, the name still serves us well.
-
What kind of businesses and organizations do you work with?
We work with a diverse set of clients—from mid-sized businesses to higher education institutions to global corporations—all striving to stand out and connect. We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to the specific needs of individual clients, but we provide the most value to companies looking for an ongoing partnership.
-
Have you received awards for your work?
We have, but we don’t go out of our way to submit our work for awards. While we’re passionate about the work we do, and industry awards are always nice, we measure ourselves based on our clients’ success, and we’re much more interested in their recognition.
-
How do you collaborate with clients?
In addition to easy access to everyone on our team, each of our clients works closely with an account manager and a project manager to make sure their projects stay on course, on time, and on budget. For client communications, file sharing, and milestone tracking, our team utilizes Basecamp, a project management app. We also coordinate regular client check-in meetings to collaborate and share progress.

The vast majority of our work is done in-studio by our internal team, but we do occasionally work with freelancers to support specific types of projects. In particular, we work with freelance writers, videographers, and developers in order to match specialists with the needs of our clients. We will sometimes utilize freelance designers as well, and we’re always looking to build relationships with independent marketing consultants. If any of those sound like you, we’d love to hear more about you.
-
Do you partner with other companies?
As a modern marketing agency, our work often stretches into a diverse assortment of marketing deliverables. We partner with other companies whenever those deliverables fall outside of our core capabilities. We’ve worked hard over the years to form partnerships with individuals and companies that share our values, and we expect them to live up to the standards that we’ve set for ourselves. If you’d like to partner with Olive & Company, contact us today.
